Laura came to NEYT with her two home-schooled daughters, Allie and Emma. Having spent their childhood dressing up and play-acting, the girls were ready for real theatre. Soon they became very involved at NEYT and Laura found herself taking photos and acting as the Front of House manager first in the old theater and then in the new for a couple of years. Laura now does much of the still photography for the theatre: contributing photo collages of shows and actors at work to the website, creating displays for the lobby, and slideshows of the productions. Laura is also the web master for neyt.org.
"My goal is to document the life of the shows: both offstage and on. My passion is to highlight the freedom and vitality of kids working together, doing a job they love with people they love. They can't get enough of it and I hope to capture that absorption."
