Larry Lawlor

 

 

Larry has  a B.A. in Fine Arts from American University in Washington, D.C., and an M.F.A. in scenic and lighting design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has also attended numerous scenic design workshops, including a 3-week intensive scene painting workshop at the nationally renowned Cobalt Studios in New York. He has 35 years of experience as a stage designer, carpenter and lighting designer for both the stage and commercial business. Larry has designed sets and lights and served as production manager for numerous amateur and professional theaters in New England and in California. He taught scenic design in the theatre department of U. Mass, Amherst, for four years; taught theatre design and was technical director at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School in Hadley, MA, for three years; and taught technical theatre and was technical director at the Putney School in Putney, VT, for three years.
